When I pull a bottle of BM out of the fridge to transfer it to another container it has what I assume is fat clinging to the sides. I try to let the bottle sit out for a little while before transfering it to let this stuff mix with the rest of the milk. Is this neccessary?
Re: Fat on the bottle?
I EP, so this is our life - we always leave the next bottle out on the counter to get to room temp (we have never warmed them, and she will take cold if necess).
I flip them over so they are cap down to warm, and by the time we put the nipple on to use them the cream is usually swirled back in and nothing is lost on the cap.

I agree with the running it under warm water just enough to mix the fat back in. For the PP, you are never supposed to shake bm; something to do with killing the live antibodies in it. I'm not exactly sure on the specifics, but I know you don't shake it.
