For the last week or so Claire has been waaaaaaaayyyy more clingy than normal. I'm pretty sure it's because I'm now 8 weeks pregnant, and she's picking up that something is "wrong". The problem is I am having a lot of trouble with trying to relax; because if I'm not holding, nursing, or following her closely she starts to whine, cry, etc. It's really getting hard for me to hold my temper since I'm throwing up several times a day, and daddy can't take her for five minutes because she screams. What can I do to help calm her down, and also give myself a little time to just relax? I'm at my wits' end, and a couple times have had to just let her scream because I can't handle it. TIA!!
Apparently I have to add some stuff since I can't do duplicate posts.... That's inconvenient sometimes.
Re: Help needed (repost from AP)
I ditto the PP about practicing playing independently and spending more time with dad. Maybe it's time to get some cool new toys that will keep her attention.
Are you opposed to letting her watch a TV show a day? Yo Gabba Gabba is a lifesaver if I need 22 minutes to unwind.
I'm sure her reaction has less to do with her sensing the pregnancy and more to do with her age. It will pass-hang in there!
