XP: BF babies/Bottles

What are the bottles that have the nipple that is most similar to what a BF baby likes? Ive seen them posted on here before but cant remember. I want to start pumping but she wont take the Dr Browns bottles that we have so I need to find something else.

Also posted on Baby Gear.

TIA :]

  • My pedi recommended Playtex but I've also heard Tommee Tippee is good

  • I am ff but I have Breastflow bottles from when I did BF. They are designed to be exactly like a nipple/breast.

  • DD is taking Born Free bottles really well. I bought them because I had heard very positive things about then from other breastfeeding moms.

We also use Born Free. My son was combo fed for 9 months and never had any trouble going from breast to bottle with those.

  • I BF my kids for about 7-10 months, DS1 took Avent, DS2 took The first years breast flow, DD1 took medela, DD2 took playtex, and DS3 takes Tommie Tippee, I just got one of a few different kinds and figured out what worked for them best... too bad none of them would take what their siblings did!  On another note, I didn't store my BM in the bottles that they drank from, I have a medela PISA so I have a bunch of medela and evenflow bottles that I pump and store in to, this allowed me to have A LOT less of the expensive bottles that LO drinks out of (the tommie tippee bottles were $8 EACH,I think, and a 12 pack of the 4 oz evenflo's are $8).

  • My LO has been taking Born Free just fine too. She goes from BFing to bottle and back with no problem.

I use these ones too, LO doesn't seem to have a problem with going back and forth, but I don't think she's very picky though either.

  • DD has been doing great going back and forth from breast to bottle with the BreastFlow bottle by The First Years. =) So thankful, too, because it definitely makes nighttime feedings easier on me!

  • My LO is supposed to be supplemented with formula right now due to decreasing weight while I'm breastfeeding & I'm pumping in the meantime...She has used Playtex ventair, Avent and Nuk. She is not picky at all and still latches onto the breast whenever I BF her. I guess she will eat from anywhere! lol

Playtex was recommended by our LC because of its wide base. She says Tommee Tippee are good too except the nipple tends to get mooshed. We were gifted the TT so we tried that and the LC was right! The nipple did fold in on itself so we bought Playtex instead. It seems fine.

  • Right now I use The First Years Breastflow bottles, and really like them. My SIL used Tommee Tippee and loved them.
