Re: FFFC

Also: When I get bowls of ice cream for my husband and myself I always give myself a little bit more.

    I do this too.

My FFFC: My SIL is pregnant with their first, and she is due in Feb. I'm secretly worried that it will take all attention off Elliott. I know that the new baby will get lots of attention, which it should, from us too, and we'll love on the baby like mad. And, I get it, a new baby is Awesome and I'm super excited for her, but my MIL didn't like me before we got pregnant and part of me thinks that now that Her daughter is pregnant we won't exist.

  • I almost went to work today so I could get the holiday pay on Monday. Turns out I'll get it anyway. Thank heavens cause I would be sleeping at my desk.

I always give myself a little bit more ice cream as well.  DH always lets me choose which bowl too.

Glad I'm not the only one. I just feel a tad guilty because he always gives me more.

My DH always gives me more too, but I don't feel guiltly giving less, it's ice cream! Party!!! I always give him more dinner and bigger sandwhiches, but when it comes to ice cream...

  • I made some of the big flower head bands. :) I told myself I would NEVER put her in them, but I made a bunch and they are so cute!
  • haha i give myself more ice cream too. also i pick out the pieces of cookie dough or whatever and make sure i have more as well. lol

my confession is i do not want my child to be a thumb sucker. dfs little cousin has thumbs that are always raw and his teeth are already getting messed up, granted he is only six. i would much rather dd have a paci, i think paci faces are cuter anyways. well mil and her mother keep putting rilynns thumb in her mouth and holding it there remarking how cute it is. they will literally take her paci out of her mouth and put her thumb in. then they act like they had no idea how she has her thumb in her mouth. ummm hello your holding it in her mouth... ugh

  • My confession: I sometimes use breastfeeding as an excuse to sit down with the internet when there's work to be done.  He usually finishes eating after someone else has finished the job...

I would cut a biatch if they did that to M. My mom tells me not to give her a paci, "you never had one and you lived." I told her infants need to suck, she said she can suck her hands... Yea I'll let her suck the hands you and everyone else keeps touching? Plus I can get rid of the paci, and I can get orthodontic ones that won't eff her teeth up. I can do that with thumbs!

We are going camping this weekend and I asked my parents to take DD back to their hotel(my mom doesn't camp) because I worry the tent will be too cold/hot for her.
It's really so I can get my drink on.

  • I also give my DH much bigger portions of food and everything else besides dessert.

My FFFC is that I just did a Jillian Michaels DVD and now I'm getting ready to eat a bowl of rice pudding and my excuse is;  I read an article that says if you use weights during your workouts your body will continue to burn calories all day. Embarrassed

  • I lurk every. single. board. on this website.

I am a few credits away from a MS degree at an Ivy League university and I still can't figure out my Moby enough to actually use it. Yes, I have watched the videos on YouTube.

I have barely left the house since DD was born and I like it that way.

  • I have another - instead of doing things around the house, like the 3 loads of clean laundry that need to be folded, while DS naps, I sit on the internet or watch TV and enjoy my me time today.

((Hugs)) I feel ya. Though my MIL and I get along well, I feel since SIL had her son (11 months after Jack) he has kind of been forgotten. It is fine, my mom spoils him rotten, but it still stings.

We have a $150 Ergo with newborn insert and haven't used it once. We're both convinced we'll drop LO on his head the first time we try to put it on.

Fortunately we're also total homebodies and perfectly happy to stay put except for going to work.

I practiced over the bed A TON before taking Jack in public with it. I have a ton of Ergo experience. I still have no freaking clue what the point of the infant insert is...it is too damn hot for it anyway! I won't be using it until I can use it the "easy" way.

  • I skipped the ergo insert, and i don't like the ergo yet. I think I might eventually, but for now LO lives in the mei tai if I'm carrying him. I don't like my wrap, either. It's just more complicated and I have something that works.

At least I can unload the ergo for what I paid for it if I still don't like it in 6 months.

I have a $15 infantino carrier my mom bought at TJMaxx and I used it around the house today. I carried M around while I did chores. I think I'm gonna use it daily to take the dogs for walks, now that I'm comfy using it.

  • I am 25 years old and still can't sleep without a night light.  Total. Sissy.

Today when I got home from Kroger I realized I'd accidentally shoplifted my toothpaste (it was in the car seat, wtc?) and didn't go back to pay for it.

I hide money from my husband.

I did this 3 times in one week when stuff would get hidden under the carseat in the cart. I took the stuff back inside and paid for it the first two times and the third time DH was like, screw that, so he convinced me to keep the dish soap and lotion. I justified it by saying that the store has probably overcharged me in the past and they only had two cash registers open on a Saturday afternoon with huge lines I was not going to wait in again.

I've got another. I swore I'd never be one of those moms who thought their kid's sh/t didn't stink, but I am. This child can do no wrong. And he's the cutest, smartest baby on the planet. I can't help it.

My daughter's poo smells as bad as her father's! I can't imagine how bad it would smell if she was eating formula and I'm scared for the toddler diapers I will have to change.

I totally understand though. I think my baby is 1000 times cuter than everyone else's. She also has had great neck control and has been super alert since birth, not to mention, she already says 'hi.' I have a super-baby. Haha

I secretly hope that I get fired when I go back to my job. I know it won't happen um cause I want it to happen.

oh and I got two free mixbooks (Like shutterfly books) for free. one under my dh email and one under mine. I think it is supposed to be one per house... I love free...

  • I am tired of sharing the baby, every day I feel like I'm taking him to see someone else or someone is coming to see him. It's overwhelming and while I'm home the rest of the day with him, it really throws off my whole day.  It's annoying me. I wish my SIL would have a baby so half the attention would be completely on her.. here's to wishful thinking....

I cannot stand when people ask me about DS eating habits and if he "feeds" well.. It is awkward to me and I don't know why, making because he sucks on my boobs to "feed" and it's weird that people are curious about that.. to me anyway.

    I could go on a million times over , it's been a sh*tty week.

If he's six, the damage has been done! My BIL is a dentist and his son sucks his thumb, he said after 18 months it needs to stop!  I would *** slap anyone who made my LO suck her thumb like your MIL is doing!

This is my most favorite fffc ever!  I have 3 carriers, but I only just used one today b/c DH was here and walked me through it.  Easier for me to just carry her or use the stroller than try to figure one out.

  • I can't stand BM when it spills or somehow touches me. It completely grosses me out and I go nuts if I leak or spill on myself or LO or anything.

It hurts to sleep more than a few hours because of how full I get. I'm sad that I am going to not have a full, comfortable night of sleep while I BF.

  • I was nursing my LO the other day, and playing Words with Friends on my Iphone when I dropped my phone on his head.  Oops.  He barely noticed, but I felt like I bad mommy.

While changing his diaper recently, I had the diaper off, and he started to pee.  I instinctively reached for the dirty diaper I had just taken off him, and used it to block it from hitting me, but it redirected the pee and hit him in the face.  Bad mommy, bad!

Your supply could still calm down. Lots of women notice a change at 3 or 4 months.
