Gimmietimmies

Holy crap I'm slow! Timmies=Tim Horton's, no? Man I miss them!

Re: Gimmietimmies

  • roflpmp!! Yes, after Tim Horton's! Apparently my habit is bad enough that when my neice was 3, she would yell from the back seat of my car, "LARGE DOUBLE DOUBLE, PLEASE!!". She's 11 now, and still remembers. Well, I'll swap you a double double with Timbits for a Sourdough Jack (if you have a Jack in the Box), or a Cherry Coke Zero. But the coffee might be cold when it gets there!

  • Loading the player...
  • Oh, and to make you completely mental, I think I'll go get a large bar of Galaxy tomorrow, and eat it all myself! (Does that qualify for FFFC?). Or maybe Penguins, we'll see!

Hehe... we do have Jack in the Box so I'll get you a Sourdough Jack.

I never had a Double Double there and to me a Double Double will always be from In n Out, but then I am a Californian. But there was a Tim Horton's across the road from where I worked in Vancouver and I always got coffee and doughnuts there. There was also a breakfast sandwich that I loved. And the coffee. Did I mention the coffee?

  • I love coffee. I will drink it any time of day, and make up excuses to stop at Tims. What's worse (at least DH thinks so) is that our new house (one town over) has two Tims in walking distance!! I <3 Tims. I don't mind any of the food, but I mostly go for the coffee.

Forgot about In n Out, but it's been a long while since I've been to Cali. I miss Van too, haven't been in a while. I used to go to Van 2-3 year for sports, and we always would stop in Granville or go the the English Bay Cafe. I miss going, but I wouldn't move there, it's riculously expensive.

I lurrrrved Vancouver but we moved back to So Cal to be near my family.

I worked downtown and lived on 4th Ave.

DH works from home but for the company he worked for in Van so we may be going up for the Christmas party :)

  • Nice! I miss Granville Island. And I know downtown better than anything, we were frequent visitors to the Aquatic Centre. We also got into a lot of trouble wandering around our hotel late at night downtown. I hope you get to go up for a Christmas party!

Yeah, Granville Island is awesome! I used to go try to get to the market every few weeks.

If we go at Christmas they'll put us up downtown but I'd really like to go back to 4th/Kits to show M where we were when we made him. He won't care about anything but the boats in False Creek, but it'd still be fun.

  • Ah, that will be fun! I'm such a land dweller that I like the boats too. I'll agree, he'll probably like those too! And maybe the toy store on GI too? I like to play in there, they have fun stuff.

I'd love to road trip it out there, and take the kids to Victoria. I went hiking there pre-kids out at East Souk and got lots of good photos. I think the beach would be easy (and flat) enough for L to make the walk. There's usually a lot of seals out there, and dolphins.
