Why the heck would you do that to a nice name like Tyler?!? Just...why????
Oh, yeah...it was a boy. They can't even justify it with the whole "trying to make it more feminine" excuse. Not that I would even accept it then, but still...yuck all around!

Why do parents do that to their kids? When I get my classlist every year, I have to guess or call past teachers for a few names. Otherwise, I look like a fool at back to school night. And yes, I look like a fool. When you butcher a name (no matter how horrible the spelling), the parents look at you like you're a moron.

That's exactly what I thought too. The name is nice, but the spelling is awful.

the letters "Teighlyr" are not pronounced "Tyler". If i had to venture a guess, i'd say it was Tee-liar.
really people. letters have sounds. you cant just make up new sounds for them. it's called an alphabet, most of us learned it in preschool.
poor child.
