So, I'm assuming this is his growth spurt but over the last 3 days my easy going happy baby has turned into an uneasy, fussy baby. I don't know what could be wrong, he refuses to nap and when he does fall asleep its for 10 minutes and it doesn't seem like a deep sleep at all. He just seems so uneasy and uncomfortable. Yesterday he woke up at 7:30 and didn't really take a deep sleep until 9:00 at night!
Any suggestions? Does this sound like a growth spurt? What can I do to encourage naps throughout the day?
Re: Uneasy baby..growth spurt?
The past couple of weeks my guy has definitely lost his ability to just fall asleep any time, anywhere.
Now I've got to put him in his room, in the dark, arms swaddled, white noise... it's more of a production, but it usually works. He will still sleep in the car or on me in his carrier, so we can still go out. If we're just hanging out, he'll start to fuss rather than just going to sleep.

This is what happens to my son during his growth spurt. Basically, I have not found a thing to help unless I hold him while he sleeps. This isn't fun, but it's the only way to get him any rest during the day.
It lasted 3 days, then on the 4th it got better. Today was day 5, and it is almost back to normal.
Good luck!
At 5.5 weeks, my baby went from being a happy content baby to a screaming fussy baby that would barely sleep. He learned a new kind of cry that sounded like he was screaming and he was only satisfied when he was nursing. We had a night where I was up every hour with him because he wouldn't stay asleep.
It lasted about 3 days and then suddenly he turned into the happiest baby again. He's smiling and sleeping 5 hours a night (well at least for the last 2 nights in a row). I'm so glad that is over.
