Baby has hurt mama...

It started with mid back pain a few weeks ago and has turned into right sided neck and shoulder pain. I've been getting right sided headaches also for the past 3 days. I'm breastfeeding and I don't want to take that much Tylenol. Today I was particularly miserable so I got an appt with a chiropractor straight away. I started treatment today and am happy I'm going to start feeling better. The problems are only in my right side where I hold the baby. I'm just worried also that the problems will continue. I can't not hold the baby or breastfeed her. Anyone else having neck/back problems from holding the baby?

  • Tylenol up to the recommend amounts on the package are fine!  My doctor even gave me an Rx strength Tylenol.  Both he and the pedi said TAKE IT if I need it, it won't impact her.
  • I totally am having the same problems. I have huge boobs, so I usually have to lay her on my lap and lean over so I don't suffocate her. Its doing a number on my back, but its getting easier as she gets older.

  • I did read online that Tylenol is safe in moderation. I just hate taking medicine even the mild stuff. I'm hoping that as LO gets better head control that I can then prop her in my hip and it will take some pressure off.

  • I've been having terrible mid-back pain for the last couple of weeks. Between leaning forward while BF because of my huge boobs and carrying her around, it's really doing a number on me.  Chiro and massage have helped and being aware of my posture.  GL!
