Had the nicest bedtime routine tonight

Ever since 6 months we've been having on and off nights.  He's learned to crawl, had a growth spurt, is teething.... there's a lot going on and his sleep has been disrupted because of it.  On top of that, I switched to summer hours, which threw our routine off a bit.  He's been fighting going to bed a lot, he only wants momma, etc.  It's been really hard on me because it's meant he's wanted to nurse almost constantly and certainly nurse to sleep.  He's wanted almost nothing to do with DH - who has found that difficult as well.  It's been a rough month.

But tonight, I don't know if the stars aligned or we timed everything just right or what.  But I nursed him, he was still up but drowsy.  So I went and grabbed a nuk and we went upstairs to rock.  And it was So.Nice.  No pushing away, no crying, no flailing.  Instead for the next 20 minutes he just snuggled up with me and we rocked until he was asleep.

    Aw, that's sweet! Bryce won't snuggle me, he just wants to eat my boobs when he's near them :/

    Yes  I'm excited for you!  We've been having sleep issues here too.  My LO fell asleep at 7:00 while nursing and has yet to wake up!  Maybe it will look up for both of us tonight!  Sending good sleep thoughts your way!
