February 2012 Moms

What does it feel like for you?

Hi all,

Just looking to get a general sense of what everyone else is experiencing - I know nothing is the same for everyone...

I had my first pregnancy in March, but had a m/c one day short of seven weeks.  I got pregnant again very quickly, which I was very surprised (and happy!) about.  This time, I should be due around February 29, 2012, so I am a little over 5 weeks along.

I sometimes have feelings of slight (very slight) cramps that resemble menstral cramps.  I haven't had morning sickness yet (and I didn't get it the first time either).  Does anyone else have a similar experience as this?  Is it "normal"?

Cramping in the first few weeks is very normal and they often feel like period cramps.  I had them alot as well from weeks 4-6.  Now they have reduced some.

  • I had what felt like AF cramps from before I got my BFP through week 5. I never had any spotting though. I've heard that cramping is normal. As long as you're not spotting and cramping together it's probably nothing to worry about. Once the cramps went away the nausea started. Now I'm nauseous 24/7.

  • I also had cramping through the first couple weeks (I got my BFP at 3 weeks, 3 days).  Then it went away and m/s started.  The thing I like best on this board is that everyone seems to have different symptoms all the time, so it always makes me feel alright about what I'm feeling and what I'm not feeling.

  • In weeks 4-5 I was really tired and my boobs hurt and sometimes nauseous. I also had a light cramping (sometimes almost a numbness) on only my left side. That light cramping went away, but in the past week I was a little worried because I also felt crampy/achy all over my belly exactly how I feel when I am PMS'ing and about to start my period. I am also still nauseous at times (no m/s) and my boobs hurt sometimes and sometimes not. I'm still tired at times as well. I have not had any spotting or bleeding.
  • Yes, Totally normal - I had light cramping weeks 4-5 and it subsided quite a bit.
