I know I keep posting these on different days of the week, it's to keep you on your toes. Actually it's because I am frazzled but am doing my best to make sure we have one posted each week. The day won't be consistent until I find a new meeting but at least we have a weigh in each week, right?
How was your week?
QOTW: It's a holiday weekend! Does this pose a weight loss challenge for you or are you prepared and have your willpower all reinforced and ready to go?
Re: Weekly Weigh In
Down a pound.
Fourth of July isn't, traditionally, a foodie holiday for me like Christmas and Thanksgiving are. We do have some events this weekend but I have planned ahead for dinner out with friends on Friday. For Saturday we are heading to friends' house and she assures me it's all going to be WW-friendly. So I am optimistic I can eat reasonably well this weekend.
Good luck to everyone!
I haven't weighed in lately, and maybe I should be. Holy cow, I think since my last check in I've gained 5 lbs. I have no clue how. I've actually been more active, eating out less, and since it's hot out I tend to not eat as much. It is so frustrating. I have a wedding to go to tomorrow and my dress looked good on me about 5 lbs ago but I'm not going to buy another one. I'm just so frustrated that I was nearly 8 lbs. lighter than I am now the day I came home with Cameron. Sorry to ramble, I'm just really frustrated and I can't seem to control things. I'm just going to have to be disciplined and really start tracking what I eat. That is what worked for me before and that is what I need to do again.
The holiday isn't a food based one for us either so it shouldn't be too hard.
I do have maybe a topic question for next time: We're going on a family vacation in two weeks for a week. My family is all about eating when we get together and I really don't want to pack on the pounds then. Any suggestions for how to not do so? I'm afraid of snacking and since the kids going are super picky eaters, I already know most of the stuff is going to be bad stuff. How do you all control your eating habits on vacays or with family?
+2
Go me.
I'm so aggravated! I've been gaining and losing these same stupid 2 pounds for 4 weeks now... AHHH! Not doing anything different... I guess this is a plateau or something?
I dunno. Switching it up this week though, new workout plan (stepping up cardio a bit and adding addt'l strength) and doing points differently. Going to spread them evenly through the week instead of having a 'splurge' day like I had been. Also working on increasing protein, feel like I haven't been getting enough.
Hopefully those changes will get me back on track.

Can I join the weekly weigh-in?
I just started this week, so I will say that I haven't lost anything yet. Exercise-wise I've done the elliptical for 30 minutes everyday since Monday (including today). I REALLY have to work on my food, because that's what's going to hurt me!
This weekend we're having some family over on Saturday evening, and then possibly more family (in-laws) on Sunday. I'm really hoping to keep it simple with the food. I was thinking of doing shish-ka-bobs(sp?) because I can do chicken and veggies and that's not so bad:) I'm hoping that I'll be so busy with making sure everyone else is okay, that I won't overdo it. I'm also going to workout each day and that always helps me to not overeat.
I'm down about 1.5 lb, but I have been incredibly sick all week and barely able to eat thanks to my sore throat. Not exactly how I planned to lose the weight this week. I haven't logged my meals at all this week either so I'll need to get back on track with that too next week when hopefully I am better.
We have a cookout to go to this weekend and normally I just try to watch portions and be good the rest of the weekend, but since I can still only eat really really soft foods it's not going to be much of a problem this year. Kind of disappointing too since we look forward to this cookout every year.
