I'm at almost 14 months and no AF. On Kellymom, I read that if you nurse on demand, have a baby that is late to STTN, and sometimes nurse lying down (not sure why this would affect things), the average age for periods to return is 14.5 months.
Returned at 16 months for us. I always assumed it was from the Mirena but considering it's been regular ever since the timing was probably more about BF.

I would think the nursing lying down (kellymom says during naps and at night) would help because the baby probably latches on to nurse or even just suck more frequently.
We're at 14 months right now, having night weaned 2 months ago, I was expecting it any day. Since I got pg while bfing my last child, I havent had AF in over 3 years!!!! Not looking forward to its return!

Wow, y'all are lucky! AF returned with a vengeance at 5 months pp and has continued to wreaked havoc on my supply monthly. My child nursed every 2 hours until she was over 7 months old, I don't know why I was punished so :P
Re: 15 mos post partum and still no AF...but still bf'ing. anyone else?
DD is 20m and still BF, and I haven't got AF back yet.
I nursed DS until he was 26m, but AF returned when he was 19m.

Got mine 18 months pp, about 4 months after night weaning. Ari dropped to 3-4 sessions per day max at that time, usually more like 2-3.
I was pretty bummed, lol. My periods were ridiculously heavy & my cycles were fairly long for the 1st 3 months too.
Nope, I still haven't gotten it & E is 14.5 mos. He still nurses A LOT. Like 5-6 times/day & once at night. So I'm assuming that's why.
