Should I have already had the Step B Test?

Next week I am going for my 35 week appointment. I should have gone this week for a bi-weekly check-up, but the scheduled me for next week instead (not sure why). When they called to confirm today I asked if there was anything special going on at the appointment like the Step B test since I haven't had one yet. The nurse asked and said that I might have an internal, but that's it. Should I have already had a Strep B test and should I ask for one?

You get one at the 35/36 week mark. In between there. I just had mine today.

I have mine on Tuesday. My OB said they like to wait until you have about 4 weeks left.
