Ive heard that higher fetal heart rates means girl and lower fetal heart rates means boy so just for fun..

Q: What's your baby's heartbeat normally range from and what gender are you expecting?

(Mine has been right around 180 and we might be able to find out the sex next week. Heartbeat says girl but who knows! )

I don't really believe the heartbeat theory in gender prediction since the first time we heard it, it was about 160. We are having a girl and her heartbeat the last few times was about 140. By that logic, technically I wouldn't be having a girl, but I've had two separate techs confirm girl

Heart rate and gender is nothing but an OWT. Heart rate depends on how active your baby is. Sleeping it's low, moving around, it goes up.

I don't think it's very accurate. We're having a boy, but his heartrate varies from 170-180

My SIL and all my IL's was positive she was having a girl based on the heartbeat which was in the 180's, but they found out this week it was a BOY! the HB had dropped down to the 140s at this past appointment. I wouldn't bet my marbles on this OWT. My Dr won't even tell us our LO's heart rate because so many people have believed that OWT and get all bent out of shape when it is not accurate.

We are having a boy and baby's heartbeat has always been fast. Above 160. Closer to 180 in early 2nd tri, but slowing down now closer to 160.

Suposedly if the heartbeat is 140+ = a girl >140 + boy This has always been wrong with my boys. Even this time another boy and the heart rate has been 150+.

Dont listen to any of the OWT. Every single one of them said girl and we're having a boy. His heartrate was in the 160's last visit and he was definitely showing his goods so we know its a boy.

I don't think there is a corralation either. OWT. But both of my girls have been 130's to 140's for the past couple of months.

"they" say 140+ bpm = girl, Lower is boy.

Both my boys were 157bpm throughout the pregnancy. So I can easily blow that theory out of the water.

My first two kids were both mid to high 140's .. boy and a girl. This baby has been 150 or slightly above .. we'll find out the gender in 3 weeks.

Babies heart rates are always faster in the beginning and they slow down as they get bigger. My first heart rate check at 12 weeks was 180 bpm. It has slowed down since then and is in the 140s but it's supposed to slow down. It's a girl and I knew it based on the heart rate. It's not always the same for everyone but I knew it was a girl from that appt.

At last appointment heart rate was 145 and we are having a girl. Last month her heart rate was 155. I think it has to do mostly with how active the baby is and also genetics.

As my nurse said when I asked about it when I heard the heartbeat at 12w..."if I went by the heartbeat theory, I would have 3 girls. However, I have 3 boys."

That is an OWT and you have a 50/50 chance of it being right. I have known some people who it was right and others not.

my sons heartrate was in the upper 160s lower 170s almost the entire time. dont count on the heartbeat.
