Nickname question...

I need some impartial input on nicknames for the baby.

DH and I are team green so we have both a boy and girl name picked out. Our boy name is Connor (just a name DH and I like) and our girl name is Susan (named after DH grandmother who passed away). 

I have always loved nicknames and there are so many great ones for Susan. DH really likes Susie which I think is adorable also. 

I have another nickname that personally I love but don't know if people would think it was too weird. Ever since I was little and saw the movie "It's a Wonderful Life" I have LOVED the name Zuzu. This could totally be a nickname for Susan and I think it is precious! At the same time, I have never heard of anyone being named that besides in the movie. So my question is do you think Zuzu is too weird? Should we just stick with Susie?

    Personally, I think you should stick with Susie. Zuzu reminds me of Zuzu pets. lol. Can you tell I already have two older kids? Stick out tongue

    I think that the nicknames will come when the baby does :) You are probably give him/her so many nicknames as a baby and there will be one that sticks.

     I think Zuzu is really cute and if it fits her it will catch on :)

    I am team green too and we have Oliver and Amelia picked out for our names - I love Oli and Mia for nicknames so hopefully those ones stick. I will not tolerate Amy as a nickname though (that is my SIL and she is a B****) lol

    I like Zuzu. As she gets older, she can decide if she wants to go by Susan instead.

    I think Susan is a beautiful name, but I don't really care for either nickname. Why not just call her Susan?

    I think you can call her whatever you want. We call my daughter booty (I cant even remember how that got started) Obviously I wont call her that when she is older but for now, that's her nickname

    I have multiple nicknames from my mom. Some are shorter versions of my name, some are totally random - more like a pet-name.  I think nicknames tend to work themselves out over time.  Personally, I think a mom calling her daugher Zuzu is fine, though she might use another nickname outside of the house.

    I think Zuzu is just fine!  A friend of mine goes by Juju.

    I have a very special nickname for our little darling.

    She shall be called "schnitzel".  Mainly because I think that she is part schnitzel, part gelato,  More schnitzel though.
