I have absolutely no intentions of throwing Avery a big party for his 1 year birthday. My family has always done "month" birthdays where everyone celebrates on the same day. Avery and DH share the same month, along with Avery's 1st cousin. We'll have one big party, and that's it.

Along the same lines....I don't plan on having a huge party for Kenzie. It will probably just be family. I don't like the whole huge birthday party thing. Also, MIL had to have a second birthday party for our nephew for "just the family", which meant just that side of the family. She wanted to do everything (dinner, cake, gifts). I don't want a second party for Makenzie. I feel like it is saying that DH's side of the family and my family are seperate families to Makenzie and I want her to see everyone as equal...regardless of whose "side" it is.

I fvcking hate Dr. Drew. I'm watching the 16&Pregnant Life After Labor show (I missed it on Tuesday evening) and I seriously want to throat punch him. Whenever he talks to one of these d-bag boyfriends who don't help out at all with the baby, cheat on their girlfriend, or are just general azzhats, it's always "oh, you poor thing, you were abandoned by your dad when you were a child," or "you know you're pushing him away." Yeah, God forbid these girls expect ANYTHING out of their boyfriends. It's not like these guys had anything to do with bringing the babies into the world, right?

lol, okay I'll agree he's not a bad-looking guy...but I think his douchiness overrides the physical attraction. JMHO!

Part of me is happy when gas prices are high. I do feel bad for people who live in the country and/or absolutely need to drive substantial distances to work. I feel bad for people with no alternatives, and were never afforded the opportunity to have a somewhat fuel efficient car. But for everyone else I don't feel bad. I like that high gas prices make giant gas guzzlers (like SUVs...which we call FUVs) less popular. I hate those vehicles so much for many reasons. I like that people feel like they need to consolidate/plan errands and trips to not use their cars as much. I like that people switch to public transportation and biking.

Ok, late to the game, but here's mine. I EP, but have weaned and will FF in a month when my freezer stash runs out.
Once I got the hang of EP'ing, I think it's actually easier than BFing. At least when there is help around. When you have to feed, then pump, then clean parts, then it's time to feed again, it's HARD, but once the feedings space out a little, I think it was easier, emotionally and physically on me.
