I'm pretty sure I found the link on here but now i'm not seeing it. it was a link to a study that discussed talking to your kids about race and why its so important to do rather than being "color blind" and letting the children come to their own conclusions.
Anyone know what i'm talking about? thx!!

Re: Help - article on talking to kids about race?
i'm not sure which article/link was posted before, but i have two suggestions that i have found really informative and helpful.
the first is a segment on npr - i listened to it online and think it's definitely worth a listen. there is a text summary, but it's not as comprehensive as the audio.

the second i just read yesterday and had planned to share with our forum. it's a great post (and ensuing "conversation"/comments) from the blog mama c and the boys:

sorry - don't know how to make my links so you can click them...hopefully you can just cut and paste.
I posted this Newsweek article before. I think it may be the one you are looking for:

Another great resource is John Raible's blog. (Google John Raible)
He is a Biracial adoptee who has gone on to do lots of research and has strong opinions on transracial adoption.
