NBR: What are you reading right now?

I just finished Two Kisses for Maddy by Matt Logelin.  I've been following his story from the beginning but it was still a very emotional read....lots of tears!

I started House Rules by Jodi Piccoult last night.  A coworker just finished it this week and said it's great.

  • I loved Two Kisses for Maddy!  It was great.  I've followed his blog for awhile too.

I'm currently reading Adrenaline by Jeff Abbott.  I've read a lot of sad books lately and needed something more exciting to read. It's great so far.

  • I'm still working through Half Broke Horses by Jeanette Walls.  I wish I had more energy to read it, because it's been so interesting!  Her first book is The Glass Castle, and I highly recommend it as well.  They're biographies, but read like stories, and you'll find yourself asking yourself if people really were/are that way and if she's making it all up.

  • Right now I'm ready Bossy Pants by Tina Fey and next I'd like to read Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy as I've heard it's pretty light and funny.

  • House Rules is a great book! Very entertaining and I couldn't guess what would happen in the end. I have about 5 books to read that I got at a rummage sale, but I haven't started because I have been so busy and filling my time with pregnancy books. (I also started going back to school for creative writing, so I write instead of read a lot) But my last book that I read was Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. It was really good!

  • I am currently finishing Romanov Bride by Robert Alexander (I love historical fiction) and Son of A Witch by Gregory Maguire (2nd in the Wicked series). After that I am going to read Rooms, can't remember the author.

I dislike Jodi Piccoult. And I really disliked House Rules, although I never finished it. Once she said the kids' autism was caused by a vaccine, I threw the book across the room and refused to read the rest.

I love anything by Gregory Maguire!

Last night, I finished "Good In Bed" by Meg Weiner.  It was OK.  I normally don't like chick lit.
