My husband I and I have recently suffered our second miscarriage. For both pregnancies we got pregnant right away and with both pregnancies I miscarried early (day 36 for the first and day 37 for the second pregnancy).
This being our first six months trying, we are trying to figure out where to go from here. Do we keep trying or should we seek out help? Is there anything we can be doing to help me get through these first critical weeks and carry to term? My doctor says she will refer me to the local reproductive center, but it that the correct course of action? Lots of questions...Don't know where to start. If I can conceive, but miscarry, could this mean I have a fertility problem and when do we see a specialist?
Re: Keep trying?
This exactly...get thee to an RE, and hopefully you will get your sticky BFP very, very soon.

I agree. An RE can help determine what is causing the miscarriages. I'm sorry for your losses and I wish you the best of luck.

yes, it could mean there is a fertility problem afoot. for example i have diminished ovarian reserve and i have had two miscarriages in 5 cycles. (i have a 2 year old son as well). i also have regular periods, and ovulate regularly. my cycles indicate that nothing is wrong with me. but after the 3rd cycle i went to an RE anyways...i just wanted to be sure, and sure enough, he found it. There could be totally nothing wrong with you or your husband....but IMO, i think going to an RE sooner rather than later is the right thing to do. i could have been TTC for another year since im under 35 and i have regular cycles. but i went early and found the problem. i dont believe in the whole "dont go see an RE until you've been TTC for a year" and neither does my RE. there is no harm in going just to see if something is amiss. going to an RE doesnt mean that you are taking the next step into "being super messed up fertility-wise". it means you are being proactive with your fertility which is a good thing.
