1.)our 2 month old baby isn't sleeping thru night...mom in law says to give rice cereal in baby's bottle before bed time? is that correct?
2.) your 6 month old has doubled his birth weight, and is grasping at everything, and trying to put in mouth. seems hungry all the time, despite drinking 8 full bottles.do you start solids ? why or why not? and what would you start?
3.)sister complains your 3 year old niece doesn't " eat anything"...have any advise?
Re: Baby and toddler food help needed
1. NO
2. yes, 6 months is fine to start solids. our first was squash, but any fruit or veggie is fine
3. no ideas on this one, not there yet
1- The correct answer is no but I can't say I never did it
2-Yes I would but I started them earlier then that anyway. If he is drinking that many bottles he is ready for food.
3-Don't let her fill up on snacks and junk. She will eat when she is hungry. When she does have snacks make them count that means make them healthy. Don't be a short order cook.
2) Yes. AAP recommends starting solids btwn 4-6 months anyway.
3) I'd just keep offering lots of healthy options and make sure to always eat meals with the child so she sees you eating a variety. Also don't give junky snacks or let child fill up on juice or milk.

NO. 2 month olds aren't SUPPOSED to be sleeping through the night and need to eat frequently (even at night).
2.) your 6 month old has doubled his birth weight, and is grasping at everything, and trying to put in mouth. seems hungry all the time, despite drinking 8 full bottles.do you start solids ? why or why not? and what would you start?
I would start rice cereal.
3.)sister complains your 3 year old niece doesn't " eat anything"...have any advise?
Keep trying various different foods. If she is healthy, and is at an appropriate weight, I wouldn't worry too much.
1.)NO! Wic actually called cps on my friend for doing this! At 2 months old they should not be expect to sttn
2.) Teagan actually began doing that at 31/2 months, we waited til 6 months to full on with solids. We are doing baby led weaning, she eats just about everything we eat.
3.)Talk to momma she knows everything! lol Yeah that's exactly what I would saySeriously? That's pretty obnoxious.
Bar tab = $156,000, Bus to Foxwoods = $0, Puking in the Stanley Cup = Priceless
1. Absolutely not.
2. 6 months is when we started solids both times. My kids were on all table foods by 10 months at the latest-- they had no interest in cereals and purees. We started with avocado.
3. Make sure she's not filling up on liquids. Milk and juice are for meals around here and they get water the rest of the time.
