Aveeno calming comfort bath

Does anyone use this? The directions imply that it should be mixed into the bath water but I was wondering if I could use it as a wash for DS's body and hair?

    I've done both and think it's fine, I do really like the smell.  The only thing is I feel like it left my sons hair a litte oily looking as compared to the Johnson and Johnson shampoo sample I was using from the hospital.  But no issues with his skin drying out or anything.

    I just picked up some wash and lotion. Its on sale this week at Publix for $3.79
