So I went to the OB today and complained about all the braxton hicks contractions I've had lately. OB decided to go ahead and do an internal to check... and I'm 2cm dialated and 50% effaced at 34 weeks. Apparently the baby is very low because she said she could feel his head.
The OB hooked me up to the monitors and baby's heartbeat was doing wonderfully. He's not stressed out, although I have been under a lot of stress these last few weeks. (Not going to go into that, let's just say that since the tornado hit my neighborhood in April I've had more stress than I know what to do with, let alone running around after a 2-year-old.)
Anyways, I'm now on bedrest until next week, when I go in to be checked again and we'll go from there. I'm really hoping this baby boy decides to stay in for 2-3 weeks at least. I'm no where near ready yet! Please send a little prayer our way that he stays in a little longer!
Re: Looks like I might have a July baby...
My OB said at 34 weeks I won't need a steroid shot, so that is good. Apparently if the baby were born now he would be very small but his lungs wouldn't likely need the steroid shot before labor.
natural m/c and d&c at 10 weeks - 1/24/2014

For you ?MissLMS?, you take care of yourself, thinking only good thoughts and taking it easy. After all you don?t need any undue stress in your life while carrying that little boy. Both of you - whether you want it or not - are in my prayers!
I for one really do understand about those horrible tornados back in April, I?m still having some nightmares on what happened to us. Thank God we came out a lot better than some did! We still have our lives ? our little girl came through without a scratch or any problems even with my few bruises and broken arm we?re doing better than most.
On the bed rest you just do as your doctors tell you! I?ll continue praying that LO cooks a few more weeks - OK!

That's great news at least!
