I am not sleeping well at all. I try to sleep on my left side. I have always been a side sleeper or stomach sleeper. But I wake up at least ten times through the night because my hip is killing me. I either switch to the right for a few minutes or have to get up and walk around to make it stop hurting. I am so tired by the end of the day because I never get a good night's sleep. I have a boppy pregnancy pillow, but it isn't helping. I also bought one of those egg crate things to put over the mattress. But it isn't helping either. Did anyone find anything that helps hip pain?

Re: My hips are keeping me awake
I have found that I start on my left side, hip hurts/time to pee, switch to the right side, hip hurts/time to pee, switch to the left side... repeat several times during the night.
I have also found that it takes a lot of the bed and MANY pillows to make me sleep well. Poor DH. I think that he is ready for LO just to have his part of the bed back.
One good thing (atleast this happened to me), but the hip pain seemed to come and go. I guess this was due to my changing body. So I might have a month of pain, than I would get 3 weeks break. Hope you get a break soon.

Ditto on this and as a yoga instructor, check out prenatal yoga and in specific Pigeon Pose and Thread the needle. You can also do a standing variation of thread the needle which I find easier to maneuver with the belly, but stand between two areas that you can hold onto.
I've been struggling with this for the past 3 weeks too. I posted on my BMB yesterday and got some interesting responces HERE.
I do go to the chiropractor once a month, yoga once a week, and I'm working on finding a good position for a pillow between my legs. I thought the commet on wearing good, supportive shoes was interesting since I've been wearing lots of flats lately. Hope you find some relief!
Thank you for the suggestions. I will give some a try. I just watched the video for the pigeon pose. I don't think I can do that! I am not that flexible at all. Is it okay to start yoga during pregnancy if you have never done it?
