emergency trip to the doctor

I had a freak out earlier this afternoon. I started bleeding a lot. It was to the point where I thought there was no way the baby would make it. I called the doctor's office and I'm not sure how they were even able to understand me through the sobs, but they told me to come in. Turns out I have a SCH that is causing the bleeding and have to take it easy. It is pretty large but baby is still looking great. HB is up to 114 bpm from 105 yesterday. So today, I'm in the clear, but it freaked the sh!t out of me. Can't this just be easy? I thought the getting pg was the hard part...

I'm sorry Sushi. A lot of women get them (or so it seems around here). I had one and I thought for sure I was m/c again. I'm glad your LO is looking good. I still haven't completely relaxed. I'm terrified just about every day that something will go wrong. I'll be thinking about you!

I'm sorry you had to go through that. I wish this really could just be easy, but so far, I've been finding nothing but more worrying. I'm glad that everything seems okay. Take it easy this weekend. ((hugs))

((HUGS)) sorry you are going through this. SCH are very common on this board. just try to keep off your feet and hydrate. glad the baby looked great!

I'm so sorry you are bleeding, but so thankful that baby is ok. Like PP said those SCH seem to be a thing around here. Hopefully it'll resolve soon and it'll be smooth sailing from here on out.

I'm really sorry about the SCH but I'm so glad your LO is ok! I had a SCH as well and thought FOR SURE it was a m/c, but it wasnt. So awful. Glad you're ok.

Not sure what SCH is, but it sounds scarey. T&P that you and the baby will be fine. Good to hear that the HB is getting stonger. ((HUGS))

SCHs are very scary, but usually not harmful. I had one from 6/7 weeks until 12 weeks and it gave me very many freakouts. We got put on pelvic rest and I was told to take it easy, and eventually it resolved itself.

Yep, SCH's are the devil. I had one that just wouldn't go away from about week 10 to week 19...they are scary, but you'll be fine!!

I'm sorry you had such a bad scare. Nothing can ever be easy, can it? It seems like SCH's are so common among the girls here... you'll have plenty of people to give advice at least! Glad to hear that all is okay with you and baby though!

Thanks girls. This has been one of the most stressful days for me. In fact, it feels like it has been about 3 days in just about a 12 hour time frame! The bleeding has subsided now and I am just spotting brown every once-in-a-while. I'm hoping that taking it easy will help.

I'm so sorry you have to deal with this and I can only imagine how scary that was. As the other ladies have said we've had plenty of SCH's on this board. Sending vibes that it resolves quickly. Take it easy!
