recommend your thermometer

Hey all,

We bought an ear thermometer, but I don't think it's very accurate (will sometimes say temps as low as 94 degrees). What baby thermometer do you recommend? Or could I just use the basal thermometer I used for TTC? TIA!

    I have a Vicks rectal therm. Its very accurate, and only takes a few secs to get a temp. DD doesn't seem to mind it at all.

    this is the one we have- simple and cheap- does the job.  I remember reading in Baby Bargains that the costly ones weren't worth the expense- but I will say the ones that you just swipe across the forehead are pretty amazing!

    I could never get the ear one to work on DD, or H or me!

    We have a Vicks, which was $7 or so - it's nice and quick. Can be used underarm, rectally, etc.

    We also have a temporal artery therm. that I love.  It's easy to take a quick temp with it and has been accurate so far.

    We have one you swipe across the forehead. Quick and very accurate. cost $30 and worth every penny!
