We live across a river from the biggest airport in the state (admittedly not that big, but still).
I have never realized just how many planes fly over our house every day. And no matter what she's doing, DD stops, babbles a two-syllable word that I interpret as "airplane," makes the sign, and looks for me or DH. It's so.flipping.cute!
In the middle of last night I heard Ava flumping around in bed (over her monitor) and then I hear "Momma! I NEED A HUG!"
The carpet has burn marks from me running in there so fast. lol. Anytime, kid.
She also has been calling woodpeckers "Nut packers" and painted a lil' bird house for them to all live in.
I'm totally giggling over "nut packers"...lol!!!
I just stole this from my blog...this cracks me up!
Jones is a binky fan.
I read an article the other day that an affection for a pacifier is
hereditary, which makes sense since my mom had to enlist the Easter
Bunny's help in order to get me to give mine up at three.
We attached a binky to his carseat when he was in the habit of flinging
them and then crying for it. Well now he has this goofy, endearing
habit of swapping out his regular daycare binky for his car bink as soon
as he gets in the car. I tried to take a picture the last few days,
but as soon as I would get my phone ready for a pic, he would swap them
back! I'm not sure if he's embarrassed to be seen with a binky on a
purple leash or what, but it cracks me up!
What carseat bink? I wasn't using a carseat bink!
Well, I fooled him this morning... After he saw me getting ready to take
his picture, he swapped them really fast (didn't even have time to drop
the car seat bink). So I took a picture with his daycare binky and then
got in the front seat. By the time I had closed the door, he had
swapped it back out for the car binky, so I snapped a picture from the
front seat Man, I love this little guy so much!
Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
Maya's new favorite word is HI, accompanied by furious waving. Her little soft HI's are the voice of an angel
The dogs came in our room the other day while we were still in bed just waking up. She heard my bulldog snort and her head popped up and she exclaimed with a smile. She say up and started waving going 'HI DAWDEE (doggies) HI DAWDEE HI DAWDEE!!!
She picks up phones when she finds them and puts them to her ear and says HI DADA! because we always call DH while he was at work to "talk"
She crawled up to me the other night and and screamed HI MAMA!!! to get my attention, then signed 'diaper change'. I went in and checked her and she had a huge poop! She does it now every time she needs her diaper changed. She is so cute with the way she interprets signs.

So cute!
Nora does this too...first thing she does in the morning is nurse and the second thing is look for the dogs!
This morning the dogs were in the living room and she looked at me and signed "please" (meaning "please doggies"!), so I whistled for them. She spent the next ten minutes blowing spit, trying to whistle. The dogs played along by going in and out of the room, coming back every time I whistled for them. : )
Mousey..That is interesting about the affection for a binky since I was also a binky adict. My mom told me she threw away my binky and the trash men took it!!! I plan on doing something a little better for Katie. Cute about Jones and his car binky. We do the same thing for binky and call it "travel binky" and it stays attached to her car seat.
Cuteness from Katie- this was over the weekend. Katie has a cozy coupe and DH told her she needed gas in her car. She went over to the lawn and picked some grass and was trying to stuff it in the car. She told DH "I fill with gas" : )
Jules picked up the chorus to Old Macdonald. I've been treated to random "Ee Ei Ee Ei O's" all week. Given how little she talks, its really been a treat.
Kit has mastered "the twist" as her new favorite dance move. So stinking cute.
TTC#1 since Mar 2008. Serious MFI due to cancer.
3 cancelled IUI's, just about every test in the book.
IVF#1 - BFP! Twin girls arrived 2/5/10 at 35w2d.
On Father's day we had a little BBQ at my house with the whole family. As the day went on, we all sat by the fire pit and DD says in the cutest voice ever "today is a beautiful day" seriously I cried!! Love this girl!
and this is funny, the other morning as she woke, she screamed "BUG"!!! it was her Dora doll's hair laying beside her...the hair on the doll is so messed up and nappy from her dragging her all over, it must've looked like some kind of bug when she was just waking...we laughed about it together!
DS was singing Baa, Baa Black Sheep" before bed the other night. I tried to join in and he interrupted me saying "that's not how you do it. This is how you do it." And he started over. Every time I tried to join in, he would stop and receipt "that's now how you do it. This is how you do it."
It was so cute that I just kept letting him 'correct' me!
Unexplained. IVF#2 worked! Beta at 10dp6dt = 154, Beta at 13dp6dt = 603
Yesterday he asked for watermelon at breakfast. We didn't have any in the house so I said, "We don't have any watermelon, Henry."
He asked again.
"Henry, no watermelon."
So he looked at me very forlornly and said, "No watermelon...shoot."
haha
Proof he's listening to everything we say. (And kudos to mama that he said "shoot" instead of "$hit" which was previously one of my favorite words, but I'm working hard to censor myself!)
Alana's really gotten into hiding from us, but, we know where all of her hiding spots are. It's so cute to watch her run over and sit down in the corner so we can't find her. Then, we walk around asking each other if we know where Alana is. We walk right by her and look the other way. When she giggles it's all I can do to not go scoop her up and snuggle her!
After my sister and BIL left yesterday Sarah said "Where did Aunt Jackie & Uncle Kent go? Jeepers, they disappeared". I guess she's been watching too much Scooby Doo
DS: When DD woke up from her nap, he got a huge smile on his face, and said "So happy see you, (DD)" - it was adorable! (She also was waving and smiling, and if she could talk, she probably would have said the same thing!)
DD: Just learned what the fishy says (we open and close our mouths making a "pop" sound)...so cute!!
What's making me smile this week is her misuse of pronouns. If she needs help with something she says, emphatically, "I help you, I help you."
And if she drops something while she's playing (or anytime, really) she says, "Oh man!" and sighs heavily. Cracks.me.up.
This is ours too! DD just started doing this and it is so overly dramatic and hilarious. A friend had her 8 year old over and she recognized it (the way it was said and the sigh, as something from Dora, apparently Swiper says it). Also, DD has taken to calling Mickey and Minnie Mouse Daddy Mouse and Mommy Mouse. LOL.

This is awesome!
Graeme has started giving hugs and kisses accompanied by saying "AWEEE"...the little sucker knows he's cute
"Normal day, let me be aware of the treasured day you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart...let me hold you while I may."
This morning in bed when I was half awake Toodle said, completely unprompted, "I love you, mama." Greatest sentence in the world. He also came into the TV room and when he didn't see me holding Boodle he started looking for her by lifting pillows and blankets and repeating her name questioningly.
Boodle pretty much just sleeps, VERY soundly, all day. And very occasionally eats, if we're lucky. But it's all cute.
Jack started rolling his arms during Pattie cake, it's not really a roll as much as just twisting his hands around each other, it's super cute! I wanted him to show my mom so I said, "Jack, show grandma how we roll" and he did it!
I love him!
Forever in our hearts

After 4yrs, 5 IUI's, 2 IVF's, 2 FET's, PGD, and 5 losses our little miracle is finally here!
At the local swimming pool this weekend my friend gave E a squirt gun to play with. He immediately pointed it straight at his buddy's face, and as I lunged at him to keep him from squirting the kid square in the eyes, he says "Come over here, I want to give you a hair cut."
Yeah, he thought the squirt gun was a hairdryer. And he is obsessed with hair dryers and hair cuts right now. Had no idea at all what it was really for. Cracked me up.

The nut packers is cracking me up. Probably because when Reese says piggy bank, it sounds like finger bang. Last weekend, we were shopping and she saw a bunch of piggy banks and was shouting 'finger bang mama.' Her other new thing is to say 'I fine' when we ask her if she needs to potty. Oh, and she needs ice every time she falls, bumps her head, etc. She got whacked in the face by the corner of a book at school, so they gave her an ice pack. She's now obsessed.

Dylan to Jace yesterday morning:
"Can we be best friends forever?"
followed immediately by:
"Let's hold hands while we eat breakfast!"
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
Lilah
"Is My Daddy at work?" "he needs to mow the grass." LOL seriously no prompting from me?
Amelia
She is scoot scoot scooting all over. I am so happy she is finally on the move!
So sweet. I can't wait for my girls to be besties!
My mom said to Ashlyn " You want to take grandma to the zoo sometime"
Ash said after pondering for a second " Grandma, I cant... I cant drive... I am not old enough yet silly"
My mom and I just looked at each other, she is getting pretty smart and her thought process amazes me!
And Blake he is walking but its like Frankenstein- so that is pretty funny/cute.
Kids are 3 and 1 this week, the siggy is outdated

She does it all the time, but it's my fave.
Elena started sitting last Friday (I made it "official' on Sunday) and she's so proud of herself -- yay!
Together? Elena started solids tonight, and Kira took over and was feeding her herself.
