For those who aren't BF...

How long did it take for your milk to dry up??

I stopped BF and pumping about 3 1/2 weeks ago, my boobs are still bigger than normal, today I was curious, and I still have milk.  Is this normal?

For me it took 2 days. I took ibuprofen for the pain of engorgement and my post-partum nurse told me to put green cabbage leaves in my bra, and it worked! You just run a rolling pin over the leaves to crush the membranes and presto- a cold cabbage compress! Its weird and I was skeptical but it did work. But now I feel like what was once perky now looks like deflated water balloons :(

My milk didn't come in very much to begin with. I was never in pain, but they did get shaped REALLY goofy looking. I wore a super tight sports bra x2 for like a week. and they were finally squishy and soft again after that. Although, if I try hard I could get a drop out. lol

I pumped for the first three weeks and then quit. I can still hand express milk. It's normal to have some for quite some time.
