Diaper rash after eating yogurt

I tried whole milk plain yogurt with DD about 2 months ago. Every time she'd eat it, she'd get a diaper rash. So we stopped, and just tried again yesterday. Yup, awful diaper rash again. For this reason pedi wants us to wait to introduce whole milk - we're going to discuss again at her 1 yr appt in 2 weeks.

Did anyone's LO have this issue with yogurt but was ok with milk? Do you think it is the whole milk in the yogurt, or something else? The yogurt she had yesterday was YoBaby.

Have you only fed one flavor? Have you tried other brands? Has she eaten any other dairy (cheese)?

We have tried a few brands/flavors. Yes, she has eaten cheese and is fine. Guess it's not a milk thing then! (I feel stupid)

Maybe it's the active cultures/yeast in the yogurt? I thought that was supposed to help with yeast infections but maybe with her sensitive system it's causing some yeast to flare up and it's really a yeast infection and not a diaper rash? If she's OK with cheese and other dairy I wouldn't worry too much about the milk but I would ask your pedi.

This exactly. I've found if we give DD too much yogurt she starts to develop a yeast rash. (looks very similar to normal diaper rash). We introduced whole milk a couple weeks ago and haven't had any trouble with that...but she's definitely sensitive to the yougurt. I hate it too, because yogurt is one of her favorite foods!
