Babies: 3 - 6 Months

I don't understand

This weekend, DD sttn til 4/5, then in bed with me til 6/7. Then the last 3 nights, up.all.night. Like, every hour. Maybe once I get a 2 hour stretch. Takes about 2 hours total to get her down in her crib initially. Won't even sleep with me in bed. Up at 5:30 for the day today.

Someone kill me. Sorry, but I'm not one of those parents  who thinks my kid is cute in the middle of the night. Honestly, it just irritates me. One night, no big deal. Three in a row, I am starting to get scared.

I am not a good mom on no sleep.

I'm with you!  I'm no good on no sleep, and I lose my patience fast.  I hope her sleep gets better fast!  Time for coffee!  Coffee

  • Sorry... I know your pain. I've been there for about 2 months now. Our issue has been reflux and overstulation in the afternoon.

Not sure what's worse... Having a baby that never sttn or one that did and now doesn't. It took me a while to get over the frustration and to figure out what the problem was.

Hope yours knocks it off soon.

  • DS is doing the same thing.  He was going 8 hours, and is now up every 2-3, and has been for the past week.  We have had a lot going on around the house, so I am thinking he is just confused, but I am dragging...

  • Maybe our babies are going through a growth spurt, because Colin's been waking more often and acting restless in the middle of the night. Hmph.

  • DD had been sleeping 10 hours straight at night until about 2 weeks ago when she went through a growth spurt, and now her sleep still hasn't gone back to normal. She is still waking up once at around 3 or 4 am (still not as bad as every hour or two, though). I fought it for the longest time - letting her fuss a little, trying to soothe her back to sleep (sushing, paci)... I finally gave in because it was more work than just stumbling in to her room half asleep and nursing her back to sleep. It is a lot less frustrating now that I've just accepted that this is her new sleep pattern (for the time being, anyway). I don't have any other advice. But I know what you mean about being frustrated ... sometimes I got very aggravated until I just let it go.
