Ha... yep... too quick on the post... but chances are if you didn't like the first choice, you probably won't like the second one either
I think Charlotte Josephine flows better than the other way around. However, I don't like Charlotte, but I do like the NN Josie. I'm on the fence about the full FN Josephine. I see it a lot lately, and I wonder if it's getting trendy.

Grrrr...it figures. That's about the only girl name I'm liking for this LO and I really don't want a trendy name.

They're both on our short list. We decided we liked Josephine Charlotte better because we like the nicknames Josie and Jo for Josephine but don't want one for Charlotte. Both great choices. It's making me sad how often I see these names and this combo on this board these days. I'm getting worried that by the time we can use it they will have become popular (well, Charlotte already is).

I wouldn't say Josephine is getting trendy. It is becoming more popular though. IMO this is an example of trendy: Isabella. In 2010 it ranked #1, in 1990 it was 896 and didn't rank at all in the prior years. Josephine was 435 in 1990 and was 186 last year. So it's growing but not skyrocketing. I don't define that as trendy and I don't think that it will become dated either. When DH and I first started dating (8 years ago) Isabella was our top girl choice. Of course we didn't know anything about the SSA at the tender age of 18 but we didn't know anyone named it and never would have guessed how popular it was/is. Now it's definitely out as a FN choice.

I wouldn't worry too much. It's out of the top 100 still. It's a pretty awesome name. It happened to be DH's grandmother's.

I like both names, but I don't care for them together.
Charlotte Elizabeth, Charlotte Michaela, or Josephine Olivia would be some other options.
