Hold it in, or let it out???

Just curious to see what other women out there are doing about their bellies. I am at the point now where I am in stretchy clothes only - no more jeans for me! If I suck in as much as I possibly can, I just look chubby and like I ate too many donuts, but if I relax there is a definite bump. (and if I let it all go with the bloating an all I look about 6 months :P)

By the end of a session with a client my back and tummy are killing me from sucking it in, and I so badly want to just let my belly out. I think I am going to have to come out officially to everyone soon.

Are you still holding your tummy as flat as possible, or do you just let it out??

  • I'm still holding it in.  I guess I'm scared to let it loose!  That would be... big.

  • I can't hold it in. I have been in stretchy clothes for a couple of weeks. I tried to wear jeans today and I had to use a hair tie around the button so they would fit.

  • For the most part I am holding it in.  Not on purpose, but that I'm just used to it (unfortunately! lol)  And also not all of my shirts are long enough for me to let it all loose... lol.

  • I'm letting it out.  I've been wearing some flowy shirts lately with a light jacket/cardigan and pants with a Be Band.  I've also been wearing a lot of dresses--they help conceal and they're super comfortable.

  • We are not "out' yet so I am definitely watching my posture. When my back starts to hurt and I let it out at home, kind of arched, to make my back feel better, I look pretty pregnant. My shirts are all kind of loose so that is helping a bit.

  • Like Debbie3Casey, I am pretty used to holding it in, so most of the time that's what I'm still doing.  However, if I have on a flowy, loose shirt I let it all out just as I would pre-pregnancy.

By the time I hit 2nd tri in a couple weeks I'll be letting it all out, hoping it'll look like a bump instead of belly bulge by then.

  • Let it out! First of all, who cares if someone thinks you just might be a little chubbier than normal? Once you come out, if you haven't done it yet, it will all make sense to them. ;)

It is so much more comfortable to just let it show. I love rocking the belly!

  • Wow... my mind immediately went to peeing.  Haha!  One of the many joys of pregnancy- peeing... all. the. time.

Anywho, girl, you are at 13 weeks?!  Let it out!  The way I see it is you aren't going to get any smaller... comfort now or comfort later?  You are pregnant!  In the long run, it isn't going to matter!  Therefore... comfort NOW!  =D

    Let that beautiful bump show!

  • Everyone I could possibly tell knows, so I don't bother to suck it in anymore:P

  • Let it out!!!!

I've been wearing looser, baby doll-type shirts for a while now. I really can't suck mine it, and I'd much rather be comfortable Wink

  • I'm pretty much out.  It's much more comfortable.

I have to admit when I read the subject, I was thinking about toots.  That's what I'm mainly having to hold in these days :)

  • I'm to the point where holding it in is pointless, I still have a bit of a belly.  I say, let it out, girl!!!

  • I thought this was about toots, too!!  I was avoiding it a bit because mh had gas last night.  Ewww!

I let it out.  I'm sure people just think I'm chubby.  Although  I've had strangers stare at my stomach.  Not smile, just stare.  Rude.

YES!!  Me too.  And when I run out of dresses I wear drawstring pants/shorts.  But today I am wearing stretchy workout capris!
