We are headed up north to our family's cabin in the woods for the 4th of July weekend. I know I can't use regular insect spray on my LO, but has anyone come across anything that would be safe for babies? Or maybe some natural remedies to help keep the mosquitoes and black flies away? I, myself, am allergic to mosquitoes so I'm a little nervous that DS might have the same allergy.
Re: Insect repellent for babies?
Pedi today told us at this age to use netting for bug protection. So maybe netting on a car seat or stroller. I know I've seen a seat used in some consignment sales (I'm not sure they still make it) that is like a mini bassinet type deal with a zipclose mesh netting that goes over it, it has a canopy for sun, too. Some pack-n-plays have canopy things for bugs, too I believe.
Also - your LOs mickey pic is TOO cute! I love it!
My SIL just had a bbq this weekend and we had the same questions. I used the netting (as PP posted) and DH also went out and bought the OFF Moquito repellant that you clip on (Walmart or Target). They also have a bracelet that you can put on as well. So, what we did was each use a clip on and one of us was close to him the whole time he was outside. It worked well. No bites on any of us and everyone else was all bit up!
p.s. make sure to get the refills for it too

Thank you! We found it on etsy and I had to buy it. We are big Disney fans over here!
