I'm new to this, and I'm pretty sure that this is becuase my body is still regulating, but wanted some advice.
After taking the pill for 7 years I stopped taking the pill in May. I had a a period right after I went off the pill. It was a little longer than usual, but other than that "normal". My husband and I used backup for this past month just because I wanted my cycle to regulate some before we started TTC. 32 days later I started spotting. I have been spotting for 3 days now with with cramping, backaches and headaches. Since I had a fairly normal period last month and my cycle was always 28 days (before BC and during) I am wondering if this is normal or really if anyone else has experienced this? Thanks!
Re: new to this
Your cycle is designed to be 28 days on BC...that's the point.
I'm not totally sure what your question is. Are you wondering if having a slightly longer cycle is normal? Yes, it is/can be. It is totally normal for your cycle to change length from month to month (usually within the few days).
Anything goes after coming off BCPs. It can take your body 6-12 months to regulate. I stopped taking them in March, and my cycles have anything but "regular"-mid cycle spotting, irregular length, and anovulatory. Many women on here have had wacky cycles after coming of BCPs, even after having "regular" post BCP cycles.
Have you read the newbie link? If not, here it is. Lots of helpful info to get you started. Good luck!

Hi, This is my second month off BC after being on it 8 years. The first month i had horrible cramps for 2 weeks, my nipples hurt like crazy and i started about 10 days later than i normally did when i was on the pill. So far i havent had a period for this month and am not having any cramps or any normal signs that i am going to start. I think for the next few months we are going to have to see what happens. I hope you get regular fast. I hate not knowing when i should be starting.
GOOD LUCK!
