I work out 5x/week and eat generally very healthy. I believe in everything is ok for you in moderation. If I have pasta for dinner, it is whole wheat and I won't have bread that day etc..
My workouts are a mix of cardio and weight training. I like to mix it up when it's nice out by hiking, biking, rock climbing, etc.
DH recently did Weight Watchers and lost 50lbs (check out my blog for his review if you want) and lost the weight in less than 6 months. He did it because he loves food and didn't want a restrictive diet because he knew he wouldn't follow it.
4th BFP-August 2014- Due May 12, 2015
I have started to do Yoga three days a week and interval training for 45 min/5 days a week. I just finished my first month of my new exercise plan and I already feel so much better and have lost 15 pounds.
I too love food, especially pasta & bread, so I have to work out to keep my weight under control. Good luck with whatever you decide.
This is pretty much what I've done as well. My favorite workouts are bootcamp classes. Great mix of cardio and weight training. I'm with ya on the pasta thing... I seriously can't live without it. Last year though, I switched to whole wheat or spinach pasta and cut down on the cream sauces. Definitely helped with weight loss.
