Trying to Get Pregnant

Severe Headaches

Does anyone else get severe headaches from prenatal vitamins? I have switched brands twice, even going the more expensive route... after about 2 days in a row of taking them I get blinding headaches.

Any advice on what to do - I don't think I should stop taking them...

Re: Severe Headaches

  • Having too much iron in your system can cause splitting headaches. I'd see if you can find one that doesn't contain iron or has low iron, and see if that takes care of it. GL.

  • I would call your dr and tell them you are ttc and would like samples of pnv so you can figure out which one will not give you headaches! I had to do this cause the OTC pnv made me nauseous

  • One-A-Day gave me a migraine every.single.time.  I really played around with it to make sure.  I've had much better luck with NatureMade.

  • I get kidney stones so my doctor put me on separate vitamins, so if you can't find one prenatal that works you can ask your doctor about that. Just an idea :)
