So I have this idea in my head of this magic monitor that is 100% quiet unless there is a change (like the baby coughs or something). I have a white noise machine in the baby's room and my hubby can't sleep with the sound of it. He ends up in the guest room

. Is there such a monitor that won't transmit the white noise?
I have the Phillips agent dect digital one now...
Re: Magic monitor?
We have this one (sorry it's not clicky):
https://www.amazon.com/Sony-Baby-Call-Nursery-Monitor/dp/B000S35QLC
It has an option where it is "noise activated" and only turns on when there is a noise. We don't use a white noise machine, but we keep a fan on in her room and that doesn't activate it.
Yeah we have that one too. Works great. Although I wish it wouldn't activate until there was constant "other" noise for at least a minute or two. I hate waking up with every cough.
Only if you're too lazy to carry one downstairs/upstairs when you need it in other places.
We have this one: https://www.amazon.com/Summer-Infant-Secure-Handheld-Monitor/dp/B0036WNB50/ref=sr_1_10?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1309386490&sr=1-10
It can be so quiet don't even know it is on until she cries, or we can crank up the volume and do yard work while she naps and still hear her if she cries. I love it!
