has anyone had success with LO napping on the beach? Im hoping and crossing all my fingers and toes that it will work so we dont have to go back to the house & i can get some beach time myself.
I don't know except I hate you now. You just brought back a memory of DH and I taking a blissful snooze on a Mexican beach on our honeymoon and I'm sure I'll never experience it again. Thanks a lot :-p
DD has napped at the beach both times we have gone (last year and this year). However, to get her to fall asleep I have to take a walk with her in her stroller on the beach (ours has "all terrain" type tires). After about a 5 min walk she falls asleep in the stroller and I walk back to our tent/stuff, park her in the shade and read or whatever. However, DD never slept as long on the beach as she would have at the house.
There was a family not too far from us whose little girl (about 2 I think) fell asleep everyday on a chaise lounge and slept for hours!!! I wish DD were that great about napping but no such luck. I think it just depends on your kid. Good luck.
We were able to successfully nap on the beach when we went to Mexico last year, but she was only about 4 months old at the time. We're going to Florida in September, so I'm curious to know too for this age group!

DD, my neice and nephew, who were all 15 months at the time- took 3 and 4 hour naps everyday at the pool and beach when we were in Mexico in March- we were all amazed- we had them under the umbrella's- so they were in the shade- they slept SO good there!
Our Journey from two to three!
3 IUI's, 2 IVF's, decided to move to foster/adopt.
