Hawaii Babies

Baby Loves Disco

I am sure some of you have heard of this before. Our clubbing days have long been over but dancing with our babies sounds like FUN! Baby Loves Disco is coming to DC in August so I just bought tickets for us. They're coming to different cities as well - Vegas, Seattle, Chicago, NYC, Cali et al. You guys may want to check it out :-).

  • I've never heard of this!  Sounds like fun.  Maybe we'll go too!

ETA: ugh, there's a Nationals game that night - we'd never make it in time.  Maybe next time!

  • This looks so fun!!!

I wonder if we have anything like this in Canada?  I'm sure we don't in Northern BC :(

Elyse loves dancing so much!  I'm a big fan of so you think you can dance, and Elyse dances along with them.

  • I have heard of this and it's supposed to be great. Last time they were in DC they were at Black Cat but we were oot that weekend. I just checked and the show in DC is 5-8pm on a Wednesday night! And it's $20 x 3, so $60 for all of us. Yeow. I'd rather go to a show in the morning or afternoon on a weekend........

yeah, the timing seems really weird!

  • that looks neat.  But I'm with the other ladies - a kid event from 5-8 and then commute home?  That is odd.

It's fun to do adult type kid activities.  The old singer from the band the Presidents of the United States of America is local and does kids music now (Caspar Babypants) and we went to a concert - dim overhead lights, flashing fun lights, and a "mosh pit" (kids up at the front dancing).  It was too cute.

  • I also thought the hours were odd especially for a weekday. I looked at the schedule in the other cities and most of them are on weekends. Perhaps, the venue they booked in DC is only available during weekday? Nevertheless, we still plan to go. We live fairly close to the venue (~10 min drive) so it shouldn't be a problem getting there. I read that people normally come and go and don't stay there for the entire 3 hrs and we are fine with that. One of my friends said she has gone to this a couple of times and it has been a blast. Little E likes music and loves to dance so hopefully she'll have fun lol.

ugh have to start this again since the b ump lost my post!

If we lived closer it would definitely  be a different story, but the traffic/parking/etc issue is just too much to do on a weeknight.  I hope you guys have a great time and post pics afterwards!

I hear ya! Traffic going into the city and parking on H St can be a nightmare especially during rush hour.

    Will post pics afterwards :-).

Sounds fun! Too bad they don't have any in the SF area, but hopefully they will soon! Thanks for sharing this =) I'll try to keep eye out for them if they decide to host an event here!
