Question for my fellow c-section ladies

I am 10 months post partum from my second c-section and for that last few days my incision has been itching like mad. I mean crazy making itching. Itching so badly I am scratching it in public, underneath my clothes and I don't give a d@mn who sees. And it's not a dry weather sort of thing. Nothing else on me itches. Just the incision. What do you make of that?

It's distracting it's so bad.

    Weird nerve activity.  I'm 2 years out from my 3rd and still have random itchies, numbness and shooting pains where my old incisions are.  My ob calls it 'nerve activity' or something lame like that.

    I'm almost 3 years post c-section and still itch quite a bit, fun stuff!

    Ditto pps.  3y, 2m. out and still have itchiness and numbness sometimes.  The numbness seems to be more pronounced when I do any type of strenuous exercise.  The itchiness got better after a while, not so frequent, but I still have it.

    I am 8 month out from my 2nd c-section and it still gets itchy sometimes.  Oddly enough my tattoo on my foot itches when my c-section scar itches.  Sounds random but when my tattoo itches it kinds feels raised up.  I was assuming that when my scars (tattoo and c-section) itched I was having some sort of mild allergy reaction to something. 

    Ha!  I could be crazy, does that even make sense?  In any case, I use benadryl cream on them and it usually works.

    I'm almost 2 yr out and mine still itches on and off.  It was really bad the first year, but still comes and goes.

    I have random itching and numbness too. It's not all the time, but enough to notice. Nothing (lotions, creams) seem to make a difference either. Sorry it's so bothersome!

    I'm 10 months out too and notice my scar is starting to change color and occasionally itches, although not too bad. Maybe it's the scar tissue thickening. I also notice I get a lot of ingrown hairs on or around it too.

    Thanks for the post!  I was just thinking about this today as I have been having itching and pain from my scar 7 mo. pp.  I am not thrilled by reading all the responses of pain and itching continuing years after:(  Oh well.  She is worth all the pain and itchiness:)
