Re: Activities for kiddos (a list)...

  • One other super easy fun activity is a treasure hunt. I printed out clip art "clues" of items in the house. The tv, couch, computer, phone, shoes, high chair, crib, etc. Then I put those clues around so one leads to another and after about six or seven there's a treasure to be found. Sometimes ins a bowl of goldfish or a new toy or a game we can play now. Ben loves it.

Awesome, sounds fun, I'll add it!

  • Very cute. We just mad eour "Summer Bucket" list (complete with trips, outings, goals etc) but I might need to add some from this list too!

You could even just write these ALL down on slips of paper - put them in a BORED JAR....and when you hear those magic words this summer, pull an idea. How fun!

Yes - I actually put them all written on popsicle sticks so we can pick one out of a jar. I should do a few jars: inside activities, outside play, outings... fun!

  • I also saw a thing for a "bored jar" that said to include things like "clean your room" and other chores so that when they're bored, they pick something and HAVE to do whatever it says.  :)

That's a good idea! :) I will have to remember it for the future.

Thanks for the list - I need to make my own and print it out so we aren't 'bored' sitting around playing with the same toys on my days off :)
