I am so angry right now.
Co-worker set his iPhone down in 1 of 3 places. Went back to retrieve the phone and it's not in any of these places. He is distraught and pretty much useless as an employee today (as I would be). It's one thing to misplace your phone or lose it, but it's another to know it's probably been stolen.
The employee works with students 99% of his day, so to even think that it was possibly someone that he helps is really making my blood boil. He has already reported it to the reception desks on both floors. We have already remotely wiped all the data. (This can be done through OWA in case you didn't know) He has called the provider to make sure his account has been purged or whatever they do on a stolen phone.
We decided to text the phone with the following message:
"Please return this phone to the 1st floor reception desk. No questions asked."
Then I called down to the reception desk and asked her to play dumb. He doesn't want to get anyone into trouble, he just wants his phone back. We aren't even sure they got the text message since the phone was wiped as soon as it tried to connect to Exchange (whenever that was).
Is there anything else we can do besides pat down 500 students before they walk out of the building? The ringer was silenced. Ugh.

I did mention that to him. Not sure what/if he's gone that route yet.
However, the data has been wiped, so if it's an app that doesn't come on the phone by default, it's gone.
