Fun weekend plans?

I'm bored so I thought I'd see what fun weekend plans everyone has for the holiday.

I'm really sad because normally we'd be at my family's cottage but it is 5 hours away. I also feel like since this is likely our last weekend as just a couple I want it to be really fun, but for some reason I am fantasizing about nothing but taking long walks, baking, and watching movies at home to avoid the Chicago craziness lol.

So, what will you be doing this weekend?

My 5 year wedding anniversary is this Friday, and DH and I just decided we're going to enjoy a little staycation this weekend. We're booking a room at a really posh resort in town, making reservations at a nice restaurant, and getting away until Sunday. We'll probably just lay by the pool and vegetate most of the time, but with LO's EDD just a few weeks away, I know our opportunities to relax and vegetate are numbered.

I am sad too, because my family is going to be at the lake this weekend 4 hours away and we decided that's too far to be away from our hospital right now.

I'm sure all we'll be doing is cleaning, very fun i know, watching movies and relaxing. I just really want to savor the moments we have left just the two of us before our LO gets here. I'd love if she decided to spice up our weekend by arriving though!

My 4 year wedding anniversary is tomorrow and I always look forward to lumping it together with fun plans for the 4th. I am headed to L&D tonight to be induced, so I have a feeling 4th of July plans will be all about spending time with our new little girl!

My due date is Saturday, so I feel like we're at the point where we can't really plan anything. It's kind of a bummer because every year we go with my husband's family and they rent a big house on a river in Estes Park, CO for the 4th. Obviously that's not happening this year. Just playing the waiting game.

We are going to our lake cabin on Saturday and staying until Monday. Its nice because its only a 40 minute drive so we are actually able to go. So excited for the nice weather and the beautiful lake. Monday night we are going to a BBQ at my aunt's and fireworks.

We haven't made any solid plans. There are lots of BBQs and pool parties that we have been invited too so we will probably just make our rounds and visit everyone.

Happy Anniversary! That sounds like an awesome way to spend the weekend.

My mom has decided to come visit last minute (she just told me today), so she'll be in Saturday and Sunday. Not sure what we'll end up doing Saturday, maybe the Taste of Chicago if it's not too hot. Sunday we'll go up to my aunt's lake house for a family bbq. Monday, a friend of mine who lives right outside the city is having a bbq and there's also a fireworks show, so we'll probably end up doing that. Unless I go into labor, lol.

This! Due date is the 8th so we made no plans. Now I'm kind of regretting that decision and wish we had something planned. DH will also have to work Sunday and Monday if I don't go into labor, so I'll be bored!

My mom and dad are coming in Saturday morning. Mom's going to help me with some last minute cleaning and organizing. Dad's going to help my DH with some household projects.

I woke up with pretty consistent contractions this morning. They're now sporadic, but still present. So who knows, maybe my body is gearing up to have a baby this weekend. We shall see.

No plans here either!! Can't go to far and I am way to swollen to go anywhere!!! Next year we will make big plans!!

We saw the M/W this morning, and my cervix is closed and long so we're headed to Vermont! YAY! It's a 6+ hour drive, but we go up every year for the 4th of July to be with DH's family. I would've been so sad to miss it this year. I can't wait to get there.

I'm due Friday, so hopefully hanging out at the hospital with a LO. My entire extended family will be on cape cod and I wish we could so it too if LO decides to hold off, but it's a little too far for me to travel after my due date, so we'll either stay put, or have a baby. Fingers crossed for having that baby.
