I don't have anyone else to ask, so your thoughts?

The only way to not be a newbie is to post, right?  So here it goes.  On May 17 I got my Mirena removed.  My first period started June 9.  I don't think the time between really counts as a cycle, but it lasted 23 days.  When I had a period before I was regular with a 28 day cycle.  IF (I know no one will know) I'm back on a 28 day cycle I should O today.  Well I started doing OPKs on Friday.  Friday I had some pretty dark lines but not as dark as the control line.  Since Friday the lines have gotten more and more faint.  Today I couldn't even see it.  As far as CM goes I had some ewcm on Friday and a little on Saturday but that's it.  Sunday-Tuesday is was there was CM but not any that really fit in to any of the descriptions.  Today I would say it's dry.  I've been temping, but haven't been doing it at the same time every day (next cycle I'm setting an alarm).  I guess my questions is do I assume that I've already O'ed?  Or keep doing OPKs?  What do you think/would you do?

 

Thank you in advance.  No one knows we're trying so I can't really talk to any of my family/friends.

    Maybe you O'd earlier than you thought you would? Or maybe you won't O at all this cycle? I think the only thing to do is keep taking OPKs until you get AF.

    Me personally, I would just have fun this cycle and then after you start AF start charting regularly (at the same time!). Your cycle can be a little wonky the first few months after removing an IUD. So, don't expect to have a clockwork cycle.

    September 2013: New Doctor: 50 mg Clomid CD 5-9 & IUI #1 = BFN

    October 2013: 50 mg Clomid CD 3-7 & IUI #2 = BFN 

    November 2013 to ??? = On a mental break for now.

    I'm not being snarky, honest, but there is no way any of us can answer that question without a chart to look at or more information.  Can you link your chart with your temps that you have been taking?  Even if you're not taking your temp at the same time every day this cycle, we may be able to see something?

    The thing is you very well may not be back on a 28 day cycle, and you may not have O'ed at all, or you may have.  I wouldn't assume either way.  At this point, I would wait for AF to come or not come.  If she doesn't come after 28 days, you can try to take a test.  If the test is negative, wait another week to test.  If you do get AF this cycle, then defnitely continue with your plan of setting an alarm to temp.  Good luck!

    This. You may not even be ovulating at all at this point.

    There it is!  I didn't see anything in your siggy the first time.  It's hard to tell based off of those temps, but you had a decent temp spike a couple of days ago so I would see what the next couple of temps look like.  If you move on to a new cycle, I think you'll find setting the alarm for the same time every day will help you to see a clearer pattern.

    I stopped BCP back in early May. I didn't chart, but did record anything I could just to get used to FF. My cycle was 30 days. (Normal used to be shorter, 27/28, even the occasional 26). I hated it before BCP, I felt like I was always on my period.

    First cycle temping and going all out, FF tells me I O'd on CD11. Still dashed lines so this could change, but I never would have known had I not listened to all the great advice here and set an alarm for the ass crack of dawn.

    Sounds like you know what to do next cycle. Don't do what I did first cycle off and stress over possibly being KU. The phantom symptoms will drive you bat sh*t crazy. And not knowing if/when you O'd will make it all so much worse. Just have fun :)

    I agree with the other previous posters - I don't think you'll be able to tell that you ovulated because your temps aren't consistent. If it were me, I'd say keep temping just so you get used to doing it at the same time every day and keep doing the OPKs as well, just in case. Your cycle can be a little weird after coming off birth control anyway, so your body may be trying to regulate itself.

    I'd say don't stress about it this cycle and start fresh after AF :)
