Update on when to test for GD (wouldnt let me post)

For some reason it wouldn't let me comment on the other thread. My midwife is having me go to a diff lab on a Sat, she said that 24 weeks is way to early, she wants it done around 27-28 weeks. I read online you could do it as early as 24 weeks. Guess every doc/midwife has diff recommendations!

I am having mine tomorrow. I will be 25w2d. I was told anywhere from 24-28wks.

From what I've read it's anywhere between 24-28 weeks. However, from what I've seen, most docs like to test later rather than earlier.

Mine will actually be at 29 weeks on the dot.

I didn't see your earlier post . . . but I thought 26 weeks-ish was ideal. I am 23w3d today and have my monthly appt, so it's on my list of questions to ask.

I had one done at 10 weeks, 13 weeks, 24 weeks, will have a 3-hour this Friday, and will have another at 32 weeks, LOL (because of my history, I have to be tested more frequently). There is no "perfect time" for a GD test. It's whenever your doc thinks is best based on whatever information they go by. Around here, 28 weeks is the standard if you don't have any other history that would make you more prone to having it.
