The combination of hormones & pain is making me a very unhappy camper today.
I was up half the night with period-like back pain and cramps. Nothing that concerned me since they weren't horrific, just annoying enough to keep me awake. Plus, my OB said on Monday that I'm 0 cm dilated & 0% effaced. Of course, the back pain is persisting this morning making me not want to do anything.
The other thing irritating me is my house. It's been a disaster for ages b/c DH doesn't want me to clean with chemicals or push around a heavy vacuum cleaner. However, he's not doing it either like he promised he would!!! I've been telling him for a week that today and tomorrow are big time cleaning days since we're going in for our c/s on Friday afternoon. He only works 2 days a week in the summer (college instructor) and coaches swimming in the AM, so it should be doable, right? Wrong. He told me last night that he has to spend all afternoon today working on the lineup for Thursday's swim meet. Then he'll be gone all day Thursday with practice, teaching then the meet.
I'm so incredibly annoyed now b/c I have a massive list of cleaning projects that I don't feel up to doing by myself and no one to help me. To add insult to injury, DH left 3 baskets of dirty clothes in the laundry room for me today.
I'm ready to cry.

haha this is my hubby to a T! he does help, but its done as fast as he possible can get it done, therefor its not that great! however, once i hit the 37 weeks mark and baby was good to come any time, i got back into my cleaning routine because the more active you are the better chances you have of going into labor! i stay away from the chemicals and the real heavy lifting, but i stay busy. its good for my sanity and i know it has to help move things along!!
UPDATE:
DH has redeemed himself. He came home from practice and immediately said 'Okay, what are the highest priority projects?' I showed him the list and said that the floors and bathrooms are the most dire. He tackled vacuuming the downstairs (including under the couches and tables) then moved upstairs and did everything up there. He even shook out all the rugs. I took care of the half bath and changed the sheets in the guest room. He had already changed the sheets in the master bedroom.
The best part: after he had done as much as he was prepared to today, he suggested I get started on finding a cleaning service for the next few months. I already have estimate requests out to 3 different services!
