Being 1 of several Rachels in my class I worry about my kid being a first name and first initial kid like I was. These are, our names we've picked out and we'll choose when our baby arrives. All middle names are family names.
Girls:
Felicity Jane
Savannah Lynn
Boys:
Reed Randolph
Miles Byron
Re: Are my names too popular?
Felicity, no. i don't believe this is even in the top 200. I LOOOOOVE Felicity Jane. I think she'll be pretty unique.
Savannah, yes. I know 3 Savannah's born this year. If you are trying to avoid popular, avoid this name.
Reed is not very popular in my area but Miles is. I would check the SSA list for your state to get a better idea, but I don't think either of these names are outrageously popular.
GIRLS:
Felicity: #764 = 355 born last year. Assuming somewhat of an equilibrium throughout the country, that's 7 per state.
Savannah: #46 = 5,311 born last year. That's 106 of them per state.
BOYS:
Reed: Roughly, #195 = 1,892 born last year. Which is 37 per state.
Miles: #137 = 2,831 born last year. That's 56 per state.
SIDE NOTE: I prefer the Reid spelling, if you are taking suggestions.

I don't think any of your names are too popular (except possibly Savannah).
We have a Reed and have never met another one yet. Even when adding the spellings together of Reed and Reid, Reed/Reid #380 and #291 (1,892 born in 2011) is far less popular than Miles #137 (2,831).
Savannah is the most popular #47 with 5,311 births while Felicity is the most obscure (only 355 born in 2011). I don't think you will have to worry about your LO being one of many in preschool. I love DS's name and get complements all the time. I do think Miles has been rising sharply over the last few years. I know a MIles and a Milo that are both under 2 years old.
my vote - they're all nice names, use your favorite!

You have to determine if the names are popular in your circles and in your area.
There are always names here that are labeled as "popular" but I don't personally know or know of any kids with the name- even as a teacher. So it definitely depends on what's popular where you live and with the people you're friends with, work with, associate with, etc.
And even then, there's no predicting what will be popular in 10+ years, locally or nationally. Just ask my friend who named her daughter Madison thinking it was unique....So go with what you like! GL!
