Can someone chart stalk? Why do I have a dotted line?

I thought my chart looked pretty clear, but it gave me a dotted line for ovulation, even though my temps look pretty biphasic and I had EWCM and even what I think may have been ovulation pains on the day of (supposed) ovulation.

The only thing I can think is that I have several open circles - mostly due to waking up later than usual, poor sleep a few drinking nights and one bad dream where I woke up sweaty.

Are my open circles my only reason for a dotted line or is there something else I'm not seeing?

I bet it's the HSO cervix reported after O. Try removing it to test. Edit: I didn't even look at your temps cuz you said it was clear. LOL. Your temps are not clear... and fertile signs after O.

I'm going to take a wild stab and say it's because you have so many open circles. FF is unsure if the temps are accurate so it's "guessing" that you ovulated that day based on your CM. You need to temp at the same time everyday.

Nope. Tried that and same results. It definitely was HSO. Most of the time I can't tell any change, so gave up on reporting it "medium" every day. But I did notice a difference that day. I forgot to check the day before - my supposed ovulation day, unfortunately.

It is DEFINITELY the open circles, both before and after O. FF wants to see three temps in a row higher then the previous 6. Your open circles make that very uncertain for FF. I suggest trying to avoid as many of those as you can (less drinking nights maybe?) If all of your other signs match up to O, I wouldn't be so concerned with what kind of line FF gives you.

I just manually manipulated my times to be the same, which closed the circles. Nope. Same stupid dotted line!

Probably because your temps after O are not really higher than the previous temps. If it was a MAJOR temp spike, and not the gradual rise you have, I bet you would have solid CHs

If you REALLY need an explanation, it's because your pre-O temps are higher than FF would like. But it's just a computer program and therefore imperfect. You can stop fishing for answers now and go about the rest of your 2ww.

I'm pretty sure that when I've had a dotted line in the past it's given me a reason. Have you looked on your dashboard to see if it provides an explanation?

ETA: I just looked at your chart. It's the EWCM after O. I promise!
