Upstate NY Babies

mrsoc and other soccer ladies

I signed R up for micro soccer, it is a 6 week program for ages 2-3!

They require shin guards. I know they don't need to be anything special as I doubt they will kick that hard, but I can't seem to find any tiny ones! Even the peewee Wilson brand at Walmart are for 5-7 yr olds. They are sock ones and the shin guard would fit fine but the sock is HUGE!

Any idea what would be best? I will do another session if he likes it, but prefer to pay less than $10 on them if possible. I can also call the sports place it is through to see what the suggest.

Thanks!

  • How fun!  I have no suggestions for you, as I mainly worked with 10 year olds up to high school.  I would call the soccer place and see what they suggest.

Enjoy and I hope that at least one of my boys ends up liking soccer :)

  • If you can find shin guards that would work, you could use baby legs to cover them.  I've had friends here do that with their 4 year old.

Cool idea! I even have soccer baby legs! haha

I actually just called the place that we signed him up at (total sports experience) and they said they are not needed for the 2 and 3's. They don't require them until they are in the 4/5 group. Problem solved!
