since all this crap is against the ToS and they have been emailed repeatedly couldnt a poster take legal action against TB for this? mm&ms address and number is STILL in the siggy for over a week now. i'm pretty sure if some crazy went knocking on her door with intent to do harm that TB would be liable, right?

I'm pretty sure there is a disclaimer in the TOS that states that you are responsible for protecting yourself. You limit how much information you have out there and what you give out to strangers on the internet.

true. but mm&ms info wasnt pulled from TB. i believe it was pulled from an old web page for her work. would that make a diff? i know it's still info out there that anyone can get so it may not. just curious.

but how did anyone know her real name? Did she become facebook friends with someone? I know people add friends they have made on TB to their FBs but at the end of the day, they are still strangers. (unless you've had multiple GTGs or something)

Either way, no matter how the information was obtained, there is still legislation against internet stalking and harrassing. Period. The Bump should consider educating themselves before someone does take legal action.

It says in the TOS that you use this site at your own risk.

But it also says in legislation that if the website issuing the TOS have been notified of such behavior that IS cyber stalking/bullying/harassing and are made aware, yet they continue to do nothing, it exposes them to liability because they have been put on notice.

The TOS says a lot of things. If the TOS were being followed, those AEs would have been banned, and they never were. If the site was a full blown "use as your own risk" there would be no moderators to begin with, and no "report" button.
