If you're thinking about using Clomid, please please please read this.
While on clomid you should probably be with a RE, not an obgyn. Most do not monitor you as well as you should. However, I'm sure there are exceptions to the rule. Risks of Clomid: cysts, thinned uterine lining, HOM (high order multiples), and many other uncomfortable side effects. You should go in for a baseline u/s to check for cysts BEFORE you start clomid and to check to make sure your lining it at an appropriate thickness.Then around cd10, you should go in for another u/s to check your lining, for cysts and to check to see how many mature follies you have and to make sure your lining is thickening. This will tell you and your dr if you're close to O and if you're responding well. AND if you're over responding (wanna be the next Kate + 8??)If needed, your dr might order another u/s for a few days down the road if you didn't have many or any mature follies. This monitoring is checking to make sure you and your reproductive system is safe and to give you optimal chances of conceiving.

But thanks for posting the warning about Clomid. My OB offered it to me like it was candy. I was like 'wait...don't I need tests done first?' And then he backpeddled and agreed to do the tests. I've been going to him since I was 18 but it makes me want to switch Drs...

Oh, I totally did the dance. When I was in elementary school, my sisters, two friends and I put on 'concerts'. We all dressed up as a different SG (I was always Baby Spice) and practiced the dances for hours. Then we went around our neighborhood inviting people to come watch us preform. We went all out and set up lawn chairs and provided snacks. Soooo high class. I bet they're still talking 'bout it!
OMG. I wish we were friends IRL. I SO would've performed.
